Something has shifted. It's okay not to know what comes next.
Online counselling for people navigating change — chosen or unchosen, welcome or not.
Transitions are often harder than they look from the outside
Not all change is crisis. But even welcome change can be disorienting — leaving you in an in-between space where the old version of your life no longer fits, and the new one hasn't quite taken shape.
Sometimes transitions arrive by choice: a career shift, a move, a decision to leave a relationship. Sometimes they're handed to you: a redundancy, a health change, the end of a caring role, a child leaving home. Either way, the uncertainty of not knowing who you are now — or who you want to become — can be genuinely difficult to hold alone.
Counselling can help you make sense of what's changing, identify what matters to you going forward, and build a clearer path through the uncertainty.
Support for the in-between — from someone who understands change
Deborah Haywood holds a Master of Counselling (University of Canberra) and a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Swinburne University), and is a Level 2 member of the Australian Counselling Association. Based in Sunbury, Victoria, she works with clients across Australia via telehealth. Reflect Renew Counselling is built on the idea that good counselling is collaborative and person-centred — focused on what you value, what has shifted, and how to find a workable path forward from where you actually are.
Deborah draws on ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) when working with people through change. Rather than focusing on what has been lost or disrupted, ACT directs attention toward what matters to you and how to move in that direction — even when the path forward isn't yet fully visible.
The aim isn't to have everything figured out. It's to move forward with more clarity and confidence than you had before.
Transitions people often bring to counselling
Change takes many forms. These are some of the life transitions Deborah commonly works with.
You don't need to be in crisis. You just need to be somewhere between where you were and where you want to be — and ready for some support to get there.
How sessions work
